Julia holds a PhD degree in Information Systems and Management from Rotterdam School of Management Erasmus, The Netherlands. Her research and consultancy  work revolves around managing knowledge, social and technical aspects of globally distributed teams, IT outsourcing and offshoring. Julia holds a visiting position at Vrjie University Amsterdam and Associate Fellow at LSE Outsourcing Unit. Julia is a regular presenter in international conferences and conventions. She  published her work in numerous journal including The Wall Street Journal, Communications of the ACM, MISQ Executive, European Journal of Information Systems, Journal of Information Technology,  Journal of Strategic Information Systems, Information & Management, Journal of Information Systems and a number of book chapters. She is the co-founder of the annual Global Sourcing Workshop and the co-author of “Knowledge Processes in Globally Distributed Contexts”  (2008), “The Handbook of Global Outsourcing and Offshoring” (forthcoming  2009) and other books.
